My name is Casey Louise Thornton, and I am a motherhood photographer, lactation educator, and mother living near Seattle. Supporting other moms throughout their journey—especially in early motherhood—is one of my greatest passions. I also love to travel and have explored 32 countries so far! During my 20s, I moved to Germany for two years, and that’s where I met my husband and where he bought me my first real camera.

In 2021, we had our daughter, and now we are fully living that toddler life. After going through unexplained secondary infertility, we finally welcomed our newborn baby boy in August 2024. Becoming a mom has always been a lifelong dream of mine. I couldn’t wait to celebrate my maternity, birth, and breastfeeding experiences. However, I quickly learned how fast those seasons change—and how difficult it can be to remember all the beautiful details.

The newborn season feels like a dream, probably because I was so sleep-deprived! Although I’ve always been self-conscious about my stomach, during pregnancy I loved my belly. My maternity photos made me feel beautiful and captivating. That is exactly the feeling I want to give to you.

After I had my daughter, I was healing from birth and adjusting to breastfeeding around the clock. During that time, it felt especially important to soak in every second of the precious newborn days—because everyone tells you it doesn’t last, and it’s true. That’s why I want to capture that season for you so it does last. As your newborn photographer, I will give you images that allow you to remember every intimate detail and the sweet new connection you share with your baby.
