I’m Casey Louise Thornton—your professional maternity, newborn, and motherhood photographer based in the Pacific Northwest. Your motherhood journey matters deeply, and it deserves to be captured with care and intention.

Most families find me during pregnancy. Many expecting moms feel excited, while others still carry some nerves—and that’s okay. Capturing your pregnancy is a powerful way to honor your journey and feel truly empowered.

I specialize in lifestyle photography and am located in the greater Seattle area of Washington. As a mom to a toddler and a newborn myself, I’m deeply passionate about supporting other mothers through early motherhood. Being a maternity photographer in Seattle allows me to connect with and celebrate moms from the very beginning of their journey.

Becoming a mom changes everything. Motherhood is my “why”—it’s the heart behind everything I create.

Are you wondering, “Should I include my toddler or partner in my maternity photoshoot?” Although my focus is on celebrating moms—and making sure you’re in the frame, not just behind it—your partner is part of the story, too. They’re building your family alongside you. I always include them and their love for you and your babies. You should absolutely include your toddler in your maternity session!

Am I a safe photographer for your family? Inclusivity is one of my core values. If you identify as a mother, I want to celebrate you. This is a safe space for BIPOC families and those in the LGBTQ+ community.

I have a team! Meet my associate, Ciarra! Capturing maternity and newborn sessions South of Seattle and when my schedule is full, Ciarra is an integral part of my photography team. Located near Bonney Lake, WA Ciarra allows me to capture your pregnancy or sweet baby further from home. When Ciarra captures your session I will still be your photographer guiding you through planning your photoshoot. I will also still be the photographer who hand edits your gallery myself for a cohesive experience.
